Monumen Jenderal Sudirman ternyata tidak semuanya mengenang sejarah perjuangan gerilya Sang Jenderal
Kompleks MTL Jenderal Soedirman cukup luas dengan 2 bagian utama, yakni perpustakaan dan rumah kelahiran sang jenderal .
Dengan adanya patung setinggi 8 meter Monumen Jenderal Sudirman ternyata tidak semuanya mengenang sejarah perjuangan gerilya Sang Jenderal,
monumen atau rumah jendral Sudirman terletak di Desa bantarbarang Kecamatan Rembang Kabupaten Purbalingga Jawa tengah

Monumen tersebut dibangun pada tahun 1976 dan diresmikan oleh jendral surono pada 21 Maret 1977.
“Kendaraan perang diletakkan di lapangan dan jalan menuju Monumen Tempat Lahir Jenderal Soedirman , monumen jendral Soedirman ini di renovasi kembali pada dan di resmikan oleh bapak Soeharto pada tanggal 23 Juni 1990.
